About Us

Franza Giffen -I have now retired from the fiduciary business. Over the past 26 years I have reached my goal of creating a business that offers my clients many ways to help them live satisfying and safe lives, acting in their stead to manage their financial matters, safeguard their health and offer comfort when needed. This business has also helped me reach my spiritual goals of bringing awareness to them of loving kindness, gratitude for their circumstances and helping them in any way possible. Retirement is inevitable and I look forward to the next quarter of my life as I spend more time with my family and focus on my other interests such as hiking and art. I want to express my gratitude toward my clients, my fiduciary colleagues, the State of California Fiduciary Licensing Bureau and the Professional Fiduciaries Association for expanding this profession and bringing us up to a professional level that is a model for the nation.
Should you need a fiduciary, please feel free to contact my successor, Rebecca Guyette, at her email address: Rebecca@privatefiduciariesofcalifornia.com for a referral to another fiduciary. Thank you.

Dixie Miner – In memoriam to an outstanding administrative assistant and good friend. I couldn’t have succeeded without you. We all lost when you died June 30th, never to be forgotten.

Lillan Stone – In Memoriam: My very dear friend of 50 years, and bookkeeper for 16 years, passed away unexpectedly this month. We keep her in our hearts and honor her life of service to me and my clients for her honesty, conscientiousness and reliability as well as her trustworthiness throughout her life. I miss her.

Rebecca Guyette: Whenever families have needed assistance, Rebecca has helped guide them through difficult life transitions for over twenty-five years as a family law attorney, mediator, parenting consultant, custody evaluator and expert witness. She also holds the distinction as one of the first trained Collaborative Law attorneys in the world, where settlement, not litigation, is paramount to maintaining important family relationships.
Helping families resolve difficult property issues, including valuing closely held businesses, dividing stock options, tracing non-marital assets, as well as preparing cash flow analyses for financial support, is something Rebecca can assist with when needed.
Rebecca’s clients also have benefited from her real estate experience. She owns both commercial and residential rental properties and is familiar with every aspect of a real estate transactions and has served as general contractor.
Rebecca recently relocated to San Francisco to work as a Professional Fiduciary. She is mentored by, and will succeed, acclaimed fiduciary and attorney, Franza Giffen, Esquire, of Giffen Fiduciary Services, who has been a Professional Fiduciary serving the Bay Area as a successor trustee, guardian, conservator, and probate referee for more than twenty years.
